Veteran Testimonials

I have had chronic lower back pain and leg pain for 20 years with the last 5 years being the worst. The last 5 years the pain has negatively impacted my life. The lower back and leg pain peaked in January of 2008 when I was unable to walk for 3 weeks. I went to physical therapy and had 3 epidural steroid injections. The treatment helped; however, I still needed a cane to assist me in getting around. Because I am a disabled American Veteran, I was being treated through the VA Medical System. I was referred to Spine & Disc Medical Center for chiropractic manipulation and spinal decompression therapy. I have completed my six weeks of therapy and have essentially no leg symptoms and my lower back pain is 100% better. I would recommend Spine & Disc Medical Center to anyone suffering from lower back and leg pain. Joseph J. New River, AZ 2008
I'm a Vietnam Veteran who has been going to Spine & Disc. I had injured my back by running and training for several marathons. The last vertebrae was compressed so badly that I had to give up running. That was 20 years ago. I've had pain and discomfort in my back ever since then. I was treated by the doctors at Spine & Disc and have been basically pain free. I think the VAX-D system and the back strengthening exercises they had me perform were the best things I've done in the last 20 years to improve my back. I would recommend them to any veteran who is in need of their services. Paul R. Phoenix, AZ 2008
I am a former member of the United States Armed Forces. During my tenure in the US. Navy, I worked in communications where I crossed trained to a rescue swimmer. During a rescue operation I injured my back. After self medicating for over 7 years after my injury, The Veterans Administration had started to treat me with narcotic pain medications. I had searched years for relief, and short of acupuncture I had tried everything. I saw a building located on bell road in Phoenix Arizona, I went in to inquire about the methods used at the Spine & Disc Medical Center. Before the first treatment I could not run, stoop, bend, sit for too long, stand too long, and my range of motion was next to nothing. After the first treatment I was a little sore. Later that night, I felt the most relief I had felt in over nine years. After two weeks of care, I had 95% relief of all my symptoms. I continued treatment as directed by the doctors, and at the end of the treatment, I felt as if I had regained my quality of life. I was able to play baseball, something I had been wanting to do for many years. Understand, I had been seen by other Chiropractors, I had seen many Medical Doctors and Specialists, some of them even suggested spine surgery. I feel as though I have been given my life back. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Spine & Disc. US Navy Veteran John B. Phoenix AZ 2008 I served our country in the United States Air Force. I developed severe lower back and leg pain in April of 2005. I saw numerous medical doctors from the private sector as well as medical doctors from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Phoenix Arizona. For almost a year and a half I suffered severe back and leg pain, none of the treatments helped until I was examined and treated at Spine & Disc. Dr. Blankenbaker set me up on an aggressive spinal rehabilitation program that completely cured my back and leg pain in less that 6 weeks. I want Dr. Blankenbaker’s treatment methods incorporated into the Veterans Administration Hospital so many Vet’s could benefit from his unique treatments. David.B. Phoenix, Arizona 2007 |
